II. League Structure

  1. There are 30 WR Select Draft League owned teams. Every team will have a qualified GM to manage it. Every GM will go through an application process, interview and, a test to be awarded a WR Select Team.
  2. Fairness Comittee will be established to ensure fairness across the board for all league transactions. This committee consists of handpicked players, GMs, and valuable members of the community. Will be referred to in rules going forward as committee or the committee.
  3. There are 15 WR Select teams per console, unless one console’s registration exceeds the other’s substantially. Then teams may be split unevenly between PS5 /XBX .
  4. Player registration will be capped to ensure that every registered player has at least a 40% chance of getting drafted by a team, although it could be greater than 40%.
  5. There will be a draft lottery prior to the season randomly selecting the draft order for every team. Previous Champions will automatically receive the last pick in the draft.
  6. In order to be draft eligible, every player must play 3 combine games. Players can choose to put teams together by themselves or get put on teams created by General Managers. 3 players cannot play on the same combine team more than 2 times. Box scores from the winning team are to be sent to GMs so that they may post. GMs are required to put together a minimum of 7 teams and post those box scores for stats tracking.
  7. The WR Select Draft will be a 8 round “Snake” Draft allowing every team to fill their roster up to 8 players.
  8. Every team will draft 8 players. Undrafted Players have the opportunity to be selected by GMs to get put on a roster to fill the 2 remaining spots to make a 10 man roster. Picking up undrafted players to fill the roster is subject to committee approval.
  9. Undrafted players who aren’t added to a roster will become free agents (FA) and will have the opportunity to participate in a tournament for a prize.(If numbers allow) Further, FA’s will have a chance to get picked up during the season.
  10. Bench players are guaranteed at least 2 starts each in the regular season, if they have made themselves available for a reasonable number of game times.
  11. When signing free agents you are given 5pts to use as needed throughout the season. Points are used to sign players based on stars they were given by WR, these points are used like a salary cap (ex. You want to sign AirJay23 ⭐⭐⭐you now have free agents points 4 left to use) When trading players you are deducted a point for every player traded from your team during transaction.
  12. Every player that was drafted is eligible for Draft Day trades without using points. During the rest of the season, a player is only eligible for trade if they have played in or made themselves available to play in 50%+ of their team’s games. Being problematic to a team or refusing to play to get traded will get the player dropped, marked ineligible for the season, and potentially face up to a lifetime ban from WR Select.
  13. All draft day trades are to be of equal value. A round 1 for a round 1, one cannot trade a round 1 pick for a round 10, it will automatically be rejected.
  14. Committee will vote on trades. It requires a majority vote to veto a trade. If a trade is not vetoed by the committee it goes to the commissioner’s office for approval.
  15. Every team can retain 1 player, champions from previous season can retain 2 players. GMs must inform the league of which players they wish to retain. Those players will be required a Player Registration Fee for every season they are retained.
  16. Retain 1 player round 1 draft pick is forfeited, retain 2 players round 1 and 2 draft picks are forfeited.
  17. SCHEDULE: Games are typically played between 8 pm eastern and 12 am eastern, but can vary if both teams mutually agree. One game against two set opponents will be scheduled to be played every 48 hours during the week (Monday-Thursday) 72 hour advance for Friday’s scheduled game. See Schedule (Bottom of page)
  18. All regular season games will be scheduled games following WR Select format. Regular Season will consist of 14 scheduled games against league teams over 2 weeks. Top 10 teams will make the playoffs (unless told otherwise during the start of season).
  19. For playoff seeding, If two teams tie with same record the team with the most physical wins will move ahead in seeding. If those teams have the same amount of physical wins the team who won regular season match up moves ahead. With the exception for last place. If a tie occurs for last seed those teams will play for last spot in playoffs.

  20. The captain or GM is required to reach out to that week’s opposing captains to schedule games. Game times must be set 24 hours in advance and it is mandatory the league commissioner be informed of the scheduled game.
  21. Teams may play all of their scheduled games in one day or play the scheduled games on the scheduled days.
  22. If a team isn’t available during the 48 hour window, that team may be replaced with an available match up that has not been played during the season. That match up will take the place of the scheduled game.
  23. If scheduled games aren’t played in the given 48 hours, they will be subject to simulation. If one team was available and ready then that team will be rewarded the Win.
  24. MATCHUP RULES and LATE POLICY: The captain or other team representative has to check in 5 minutes before game time. You are expected to be on time. If late: At 10 minutes after the scheduled game time, the captain must either say they have 5 or say they are looking for a qualified FA to spot start. If no contact has been made within 10 minutes after game time, it’s a forfeit. 20 additional minutes will be granted to find a FA if contact has been made. At 30 minutes after game time the stream must be up showing 5 players in the arena or it’s a forfeit.
  25. FA Spot Starts: If a player goes undrafted but paid registration and met the 5 game minimum combine game requirement, they are eligible to be picked up as free agents. While the option is there for a GM to drop someone and add a FA with a full contract, this may only be a one-time need. So, the FA spot start is available. Only if a team does not have 5 players available at the scheduled game time, a GM may pick up a FA to spot start that game (FA stats will not be recorded). This is to ensure there is no excuse for inactivity and gives FA’s a chance to get picked up. If a player is utilized three times or more to spot start, the GM will be required to drop the inactive player and add a FA to the roster.
  26. Prize money will be split between GM and players. If GM has hired a staff to work with them then they will be responsible for staff payout.
  27. WR Select requires both players and GMs to be active for the duration of the season. Players who aren’t active on their teams will be removed. GMs who cannot get their teams to play scheduled games will be removed. No refunds will be given.
  28. Everyone that participates in WR Select is required to download discord and create a username. Applications for GMs and Players require your discord username. Please visit https://discordapp.com/download to download Discord.

  6. The GM is expected to host open gyms prior to the combine (two days and 6 hours per week minimum during the open gym period but the more the better). 18. The GM or team captain is expected to have a court that is customizable for the team. Open gyms and practice can be used to rank courts. The team may not be disbanded for the duration of the season. Violation of this requirement may lead to penalties and/or forfeit.
  19. The GM is expected to use all team branding provided by the league in league games. The GM must ensure that the team court looks presentable and has team logo on the center court. 21. The GM may drop players from the roster due to inactivity with proof. A replacement free agent can be picked up. If you drop a player, they may not be picked up by another team and it must be due to inactivity with proof.
  22. The GM may drop players if they have become problematic to team and/or GM. That player may be replaced with an eligible Free Agent.
  24. All roster adds/drops must be approved by the commissioner.
  25. GM can trade players starting Draft Day. Undrafted players picked up to fill team rosters are not trade eligible. All trades are subject to Committee vote.

  1. Pay $25 application fee and fill out the player’s application. Player applications are subject to league approval. Players with a history of being problematic will be rejected.
  2. Players are required to download the Discord app and create a username.
  3. Players can only play with the registered PSN or GT and only play with their registered positions/archetypes. If there are changes then a player must update their profile by visiting the Profile Updates page, fees apply.
  4. Registrations will be capped so players will have 40%+ odds of being drafted, but being drafted is not guaranteed.
  5. Undrafted Players: It’s important to note that if you go undrafted it does not mean your season is over. Here are 4 ways you may still get to play: 1) You can be selected as bench player to complete a team’s 10 player roster if you have met the minimum combine games requirement. 2) You will be eligible to be picked up as a free agent later in the season if you have met the minimum combine games requirement. 3) You can be picked up to spot start for a team as a FA. 4) You will have the opportunity to gather 4 other undrafted players and compete in the Free Agent Showcase Tournament for a prize. It is recommended you maintain a good relationship with GM’s that didn’t draft you so that you’re the person they turn to when they need one.
  7. Play open gyms to help get noticed by general managers.
  8. Players are required to be active during open gyms and potential interviews. A lack of open gym activity/responsiveness indicating the player is trying to go to a specific team may result in that player being marked ineligible to be drafted and no refund given.
  9. Open gyms are likely to increase your chances of getting drafted. However, it is not mandatory you play them.
  10. Ensure all open gyms and combine games are streamed and archived by someone on your team; and that those streams are posted on Twitter.
  11. It is important players realize they can host their own open gyms with other prospects and do not need a GM present. Networking is key.
  12. Combine: There are 2 options for the combine. You can choose to create your own teams or you be put on teams by the active GMs in Discord to match up with other combine teams. GMs are required to put together a mininum of 7 combine teams. 3 players cannot play on the same combine team more than 2 times. Every player is required to play a minimum of 5 Combine games with other WR Select players vs WR Select players to be draft eligible. Box scores from the winning team are to be submitted to active GMs who will submit them for stats tracking. This is to ensure duplicate games are not submitted and that GMs are actively part of the combine process. If a game is counted more than once on the website, it WILL be deleted. It is up to you to make sure you actually played 5 games, do not rely on a duplicate game counting. The rest of the combine rules are here https://select.wr-league.com/combine/
  13. All Combine box scores from the winning team must be submitted to an active GM in discord.
  14. There will be an 8 round snake draft. If you are drafted by a team, report to the GM of that team in a timely manner.
  15. If you went undrafted but are selected as a bench player for a team after the draft, you will be required to report to the GM of that team in a timely manner. Playing time will be limited, 8 drafted players will have priority in playing games. Picking up an undrafted player to fill the roster is subject to committee approval.
  16. You must play for the team you are drafted by, or you won’t play. Refusing to play for a team will result in removal from league. If you don’t like the situation you’re in play games and ask for a trade when trade window opens.
  17. It is the responsibility of the player to make themselves available to play games for their team team. If a player is deemed inactive by the GM with proof then that player will be subject to removal from the team/league. No refunds will be issued.
  18. If you go inactive, a general manager will have the option to utilize a paid and registered free agent to replace you. If you get dropped for inactivity you will not be allowed to be picked up.
  19. Two players from each team may be traded. To be trade eligible, a player must not be problematic and be active on current team. Undrafted players may not be traded.
  20. Players are responsible for requesting trades. After a trade has been requested a player will continue to play for their current team. If a player refuses to play while waiting to be traded, their trade eligibility will be forfeited.
  21. Players must report to their new GM via twitter and/or discord once trade has been approved.
  22. Players are expected to be respectful of all players and GMs. Overwhelming evidence showing a player disrespecting a player and/or GM will result in removal from the league.
  23. Every team will need to assign a player as the Team Captain. If you are assigned as the Team Captain you will have to create the team court and keep the team court for the duration of the season.
  24. Teams are allowed to retain one player after every season, the team that won the previous WR Select Championship can retain two players. If you are a player that is retained and you accept retention you will be locked to play for that team for the next season unless you are traded to another team for another retained player.
  25. If you are a retained player traded to another team during the off season then you are required to play for that team.
  26. Players can decline being retained and become draft eligible for the next season.
  27. Inactivity throughout the season may result in a lifetime ban from Select.
  28. If your team wins prize money, you will be awarded the prize money based on Pay Structure below.
  29. Select players are required when asked to stream tournament and playoffs games to a WR provided Twitch or YouTube channel. This will be primarily for semifinals and finals games but can be for any game. Players are not permitted to stream semifinals and finals playoff/tournament games on their personal account without authorized consent from WR. Players are required to not stream in every instance WR asks them to not stream. If a player is in violation of this rule, WR may fine the player, ban the player, or the player will not receive any portion of their team’s winnings. The punishment for this offense is up to the WR Select commissioner at their sole discretion and is determined on a case by case basis without regard for prior offenses. WR reserves the right to elect to not stream any tournament/playoff game for any and all reasons.
  30. Players agree to not harass and discriminate against players or other players for any reason including but not limited to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, age, disability, or sexual orientation.
